Skin Self-Exams

To do a self examination for skin cancer:

1. Print the Meaurement Guide and Body Chart (PDF) to aid you in sizing spots of concerns.
2. Follow the drawings on this page to check your skin for discolored spots.
3. Using the body chart you printed, mark the location of any discolored spots larger than 3 millimeters in diameter and give a description. If you note a spot with any of the early warning signs, call your dermatologist immediately.
