Educational Opportunities with Patient & Family Support Services

Philosophy

We are proud to educate any qualified trainee from any discipline with an interest in improving the care of those with dealing with cancer or other complex, progressive, potentially life-limiting illnesses. We believe in strong clinician-educator roles, as well as hands-on research mentorship. Our wish is to recruit providers, educators, and researchers with outstanding potential into this important field. Our approach includes clinical experiences with increasing levels of independence, one-on-one bedside teaching, and group and individual clinical supervision, and didactics/reading materials. When desired, we include research opportunities and mentorship for those at all levels of research experience.

“The standards of practice we create and the people we train will look after us when it’s our turn to receive care. Are you ready?” ~ Frank D. Ferris
