Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program
Moores Cancer Center's Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program is the largest BMT program in San Diego, one of the largest in California, and a national leader in physician expertise and state-of-the-art treatment. Studies have shown that the best patient outcomes occur in centers that perform a high volume of specific medical procedures, such as BMT.

Accredidation and credentials
A joint venture between UCSD and Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, the BMT program is one of 16 charter members of the prestigious Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMTCTN) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). With about 20 transplant center members, this is the premier BMT clinical trials group in the world. The majority of BMT procedures performed in the U.S. are by centers who are members of BMTCTN.
