About Encinitas and Vista Cancer Services

Personalized Cancer Care

Our offices, formerly called San Diego Cancer Center, are now part of UC San Diego Health System. Conveniently located in Vista and Encinitas, we practice the art of care and the science of healing. All treatment plans are individualized and customized according to your needs.

As part of UC San Diego Health System, we can offer access to novel treatments and clinical trials through Moores Cancer Center, one of just 40 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States.

Treatment Programs

We offer disease-specific treatment programs in:
  • Breast cancer
  • Gastrointestinal tumors
  • Lung cancer
  • Hematology
  • Other solid tumors

Our comprehensive approach to cancer treatment starts with weekly tumor-specific boards where patient’s case is reviewed by the treating oncologist, surgeon, radiologist, and the key support staff. This rare practice provides ultimate setting for individual’s care. Our unrelenting efforts to deliver the best in patient care for every patient were recognized in 2008 when San Diego Cancer Center (as our offices were then known) received the HOPE Award for best mid-size cancer center in the country by Hematology & Oncology News & Issues magazine.

Integrative Medicine

We have a multidisciplinary approach to wellness. Our patients see national experts on the psychology of health and illness, and we provides access to more than 30 healing specialists (massage, art, aromatherapy, Reiki, yoga, qi gong, acupuncturists, nutrition and more). These are free services for all cancer patients and caregivers, no matter where you receive treatment. (Find out more about our Integrative Medicine Program.)

Locations in Vista and Encinitas, access to Moores Cancer Center in La Jolla

See Locations for addresses and directions. Our new building in Encinitas houses a community imaging center as well as UC San Diego’s radiation oncology. The availability of these facilities within the same building alleviates North County patients from difficult commutes during their treatments and is just one more aspect of our dedication to optimize the process of healing.
