                                          iCys Research Imaging Cytometer

Overview
The iCys Research Imaging Cytometer is a Laser Scanning Cytometer that uses laser-based opto-electronics and automated analysis capabilities to simultaneously and rapidly measure biochemical constituents and evaluate cell morphologies.  Laser Scanning Cytometry allows for automated analysis of solid phase specimens, including adherent cultured cells, tissue sections, cancer tissue imprints, and cytology smears, preserving the sample along with the exact location of each measured sample.
 

Service Highlights

  • Simultaneous acquisition of multiple-fluorescence and brightfield laser-scatter images, from as many as 3 lasers (405,488,532nm) and 5 multiplexed light sensors that include 4 fluorescence detectors (DAPI,FITC,Red, and Cy5) and 2 transmission detectors (488/532nm).
  • Wide-field images, super-wide-field sampling and mosaic images.
  • Easily viewed specimens with on-the-fly galleries, or relocation to individual events after data acquisition.
  • The option for either laser scan images or live microscope or camera viewing, or both.
  • Analysis and visualization of specimens in a variety of formats (chamber slides, microtiter plates, petri dishes, microscope slides) to analyze cell populations, cell colonies, tissues and tissue arrays.
  • Precise localization of cells and tissue events of interest with the automated motorized X,Y, and Z stage.
  • Autofocus for automated analysis.

Equipment
iCys Research Imaging Cytometer is a Laser Scanning Cytometer which provides simultaneous acquisition of multiple-fluorescence and brightfield laser-scattered images from as many as 3 lasers and 5 multiplexed light sensors.  Samples may include a variety of preparations such as:  chamber slides, microtiter plates, and microscope slides.  Live cell and fixed cells and tissues may be imaged with this device. Samples may be reanalyzed at a later time.

Software includes a cytometry suite that allows for determination of cell cycle distribution, DNA content, toxicological analysis, and live cell analysis in addition to routine fluorescence and brightfield imaging.
