PERSONNEL:
Thomas
J. Kipps, MD, PhD, Resource Leader, trained with Dr. Leonard Herzenberg,
the inventor of the modern-day flow cytometer, at Stanford University. At
Scripps Research, Kipps set up the Clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory of
the Scripps Clinic Medical Group, which he ran until 1990.
Dennis J.
Young, Staff Research Assistant IV, and Chief Cell Sorter Technician,
is highly skilled with the FACSCalibur and the FACS Aria, the
main cytometers of the Flow Cytometry Facility.
