STEPS YOU CAN TAKE - Skin Self Exam

How to do a self examination for skin cancer

1. Check every spot on your body larger than three millimeters in diameter. You can print a measurement guide (along with the body chart) to aid in sizing by clicking here. To view images of actual skin cancers click here.

2 . Using the body chart (for a printable chart click here), mark the location of each of your discolored spots. Give a description of each. If you note a spot with any of the early warning signs, call your dermatologist immediately.
