Are the Internet and World Wide Web the Same?

Millions of computers and telephones around the globe are connected together. These connections create a network called the Internet.

The World Wide Web is an easy to use part of the Internet that includes pictures, sound, and even videos. Other parts of the Internet include E-Mail, Newsgroups, and a predecessor to the Web called Gopher. These other functions are now frequently accessible from Web pages.
