Brian C. Sutton, MMS, PA-C, joined UCSD in 2011. His career started by providing acute medical care as an Army medic to soldiers in the United States, Germany, and Bosnia. After honorable discharge, he came back to his home community where he provided medical and surgical support to cutaneous oncology patients for six years, then completed physician assistant training at the Riverside County Regional Medical Center in 2006. He holds a bachelor of health sciences degree and a master of medical sciences degrees.
Working with Dr. Gregory Daniels, Sutton sees melanoma, cutaneous oncology, and head and neck cancer patients in addition to functioning as a sub-investigator on clinical trials in these areas. Brian has a special interest in helping cancer patients throughout their challenging active treatment phase, while ultimately transitioning them to survivorship clinics after therapy, where he offers continued support and cancer surveillance care.
In his free time Sutton has enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, family activities, and time with his wife, son, and dog Cooper.
