| Grants-In-Aid: Cancer Center Intramural Grants

The Moores UCSD Cancer Center provides seed monies to early, innovative research projects and promising scientists with the hope
that they will reach external, peer revised status. The Center has provided over $3 million to support intramural pilot projects
since 1998. All cycles are now closed for 2007. Please revisit this page periodically for updated information. Types of grants solicited include:
- American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grants
UCSD Assistant Professors from any academic department are encouraged to submit cancer-relevant pilot projects.
- Collaborative Translational Research Grant
This opportunity is intended to stimulate a translational scientific project between a clinical researcher and a basic researcher of any academic level.
Must involve, or lead to, a clinical trial. Both PIs must be members of the Cancer Center.
- Mentored Translational Research Grant
MTR's support investigators at faculty levels up to Assistant Professor or others significantly changing their career research paths who
are mentored by senior members of the Cancer Center.
